Our Commitment

"Kesher Kasher" attaches great importance to making the service accessible to the entire population, including people with disabilities. We invest effort so that the website and the admin area are usable, clear and convenient for everyone, in the spirit of Israel's Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.

Accessibility Level

The site was made accessible under Regulation 35 of Israel's accessibility regulations, and aims to meet the Level AA requirements of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines and of the Israeli standard IS 5568 ("Guidelines for Web Content Accessibility"), which adopts them. Accessibility is built into the site's own code.

Built-in accessibility - no accessibility overlay

We deliberately chose not to install an "accessibility widget" or a floating third-party accessibility menu (overlay). Such components are not required by IS 5568 and are not a substitute for real accessibility - the accessibility community in Israel and worldwide, as well as assistive-technology users, recommend avoiding them, because they can actually interfere with the screen reader or with the accessibility preferences the user has already configured. Instead, accessibility is built directly into the code: semantic HTML, adequate color contrast, and full keyboard and assistive-technology support. This lets each user rely on their own browser and operating-system accessibility settings, with no intermediary software layer.

Accessibility Measures on the Site

• Fully semantic HTML structure, with a correct heading hierarchy and defined landmarks, in both the Hebrew (RTL) and English (LTR) versions.
• A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
• Full keyboard navigation, including a clearly visible focus indicator on links, buttons and form fields.
• A visible pause/play control for the live demo on the home page - a single click stops all automatically changing content.
• Color-contrast ratios that were checked and meet Level AA requirements.
• Alternative text (alt) for meaningful images and graphic elements, and clear labels for every form field.
• Status changes and error messages are announced to screen readers (aria-live / role="alert") in the admin area.
• Support for the "reduced motion" preference (prefers-reduced-motion) - animations are disabled for users who requested this in their operating system.
• Text that can be enlarged through the browser up to 200% without loss of content or functionality, and a layout that adapts to narrow screens.
• The information pages are JavaScript-free and do not depend on loading external resources.

Known Limitations

We prefer honesty over sweeping promises, so we want to spell out the following limitations:

• Accessibility was implemented and tested in code and with automated tools and keyboard testing. A formal accessibility audit by a certified accessibility expert has not yet been performed, so we do not claim a signed conformance certificate. We recommend a full professional review - including testing with a screen reader (such as NVDA or VoiceOver) - before any formal reliance or issuance of a signed conformance statement.
• New components under development or recently added content may not yet be fully accessible. We work continuously to identify and fix such gaps.
• Part of the service is received inside the user's own mailbox (Gmail, Outlook, etc.). The mail environment itself - including automatic translation bars or other tools of the mail provider - is outside our control.

If you encounter an inaccessible component - we would very much appreciate you letting us know, and we will address it promptly.
